As we talk about this I remembered an elderly patient of mine, probably aged around 75 when we met. She has been experiencing severe but irregular pain, just above the liver due to the formation of cysts that too in both liver and bile ducts. She mentioned it was because her surgeon had assured she can now on have any food since there is no more question of Gallbladder!! Very incorrect statement!! In fact she was a classic example to quote to people to convey the need to take good care of their liver and bile ducts especially when their gallbladder is removed. 
Purely because she was not guided in the right direction for the proper care after surgery, it ended up into years of painful suffering.
